He mindlessly licks at his lips, hands flattening over the sides of his star clad shorts. All this person is doing is talking about nothing at all yet it causes a pang deep in Nazuna's chest. After all this time he's spent with Rui, he has completely failed him. Of course Rui doesn't see the good in himself; Nazuna hasn't done the right thing to convince him he's perfectly dependable. How's he supposed to accomplish that... ?
"This is why I make dreams come true, instead of aiming for my own dreams."
It all has to be swallowed down. He can't insist he does rely on him and berate him for thinking otherwise. No, that's too callous. This is a conclusion Nazuna reaches within the time he blinks between the drinks and Rui. It's all in an instant. What he wants most has to also be his anchor. And his reminder to breathe.
